Heineken, Blind Pig Cider and Colourful Radio announced as official sponsors for the BT BUFF Awards 2017

The British Urban Film Festival has added to its roster of headline sponsors for this year’s week-long event with the announcement of Heineken and Blind Pig Cider as official drinks sponsors and Colourful Radio as official radio sponsor. Today’s announcements come just days after it was revealed that BT are to sponsor this year’s film festival and BUFF awards.
Heineken and Blind Pig Cider have signed exclusive deals to become the official drinks sponsors for this year’s awards ceremony which will be hosted at the BT Tower in London on Sunday 10 September.
Voted by the public as “Best Radio Station” at the 2015 Urban Music Awards, Colourful Radio will be sending a team of presenters to the BT Tower, host venue for BUFF media day on Thursday 29 June. From there, the station will broadcast live coverage of the press conference including interviews with some of the key personalities and special guests.
The broadcast sponsorship also includes live coverage of the festival’s annual script reading competition – now in its’ 5th year – and was broadcast live for the first time last year from Channel 4. This year’s script readings will be hosted at the BT Tower and take place on Thursday 7 September. 3 days later, Colourful Radio will broadcast live coverage of the BT BUFF Awards for the first time.
Last week, Colourful Radio launched a new weekly film show, ‘Meet The Critics’, hosted by Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe, founder and CEO of the British Urban Film Festival.
The BT British Urban Film Festival takes place at the BT Tower in Fitzrovia from 6-12 September.
