AWARD-WINNING ENTREPRENEURS TO SPEAK AT ‘MAKING TIME TO CONNECT’ EVENT
Savvy Women’s Circle, the networking and leadership community interest organisation, stages a special event this month aimed at addressing the many challenges women face in developing and growing a business in the retail industry.
The Making Time To Connect ‘Women in Retail’ event, will be held at the prestigious Grosvenor Hotel in London Victoria on Friday, January 22, 2016, this will be the first of a series of ‘Making Time To Connect’ events which will deliver strategies and mentoring to address the inequalities and challenges women face in business and in their career.
Savvy Women’s Circle CIC is the brainchild of leading strategist Aji Michael, who is also founder of global organisation Head Affairs Coaching. Michael can draw on 15 years of international consulting experience including work in Europe and Africa.
“Our mission for SWC is to provide valuable strategies for driven women, clear paths to success and develop a network of successful women to nurture, mentor, and support their vision”, declared Michael.
The flagship ‘Making Time To Connect’ event continues the dialogue started in July 2015, at SWC’s brand event which centred on creating opportunities for women by collaborating with industry stakeholders as part of Vision 2050, sponsored by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Three multi award-winning entrepreneurs Dr Clare Eluka, founder and director of Premae Skincare and Linzi Boyd, founder of fashion PR agency will be the featured panellists. Eluka is a recent winner of the Rising Star award in the Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Ernst & Young-sponsored Black British Business Awards. Eluka’s pioneering products have earned widespread recognition within the beauty industry and her products have been featured in Vogue, while she was named in Forbes Africa as one of the Top 5 Most Influential Business Women of West African Heritage. Eluka will give an insight into how she established one of world’s first allergy free skincare beauty brands.
Boyd has carved a diverse path in the retail world, with a career history that has seen her develop and grow brands from Acne to Oliver Spencer. Her PR agency has launched exciting projects and brands into the UK market, such as Wrangler, Lacoste, Ellesse and G-Star.
