The British Urban Film Festival has today released it’s 2018 BUFF City Season schedule.
8 films which were showcased at this year’s festival have been selected to screen at 5 film festivals over the next 4 months including The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival, Da Bounce Urban Film Festival, Women of the Lens Film Festival,
Triforce Short Film Festival and the BAFTA-recognised Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
The selections (all directed by women) include the award-winning ‘We Love Moses’ (dir. Dionne Edwards) which will screen at BAFTA Piccadilly with TriForce.
BUFF’s first fully fledged feature film ‘No Shade’ (dir. Clare Anyiam-Osigwe) has secured screenings in Cleveland (Ohio), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Whitechapel (East London).
6 more films will feature in a guest programme from BUFF this November at the BAFTA-recognised Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York. These include ‘Fee’ (dir. Guen Murroni), ‘Testing Greta’ (dir. Abbie Lucas), ‘Wireless’ (dir. Tayo Odesanya), ‘Afro Punk Girl’ (dir. Annetta Laufer), ‘Mumatar’ (dir. Destiny Ekaragha) and ‘Undone’ (dir. Francesca Castelbuono).
BUFF City Season is not an official BUFF event therefore audience-goers are advised to check corresponding websites for ticket prices and full listings.
